Call a Power Automate flow from Power Apps >> where the flow will make calls to external http API

We have this scenario:-

1) We created a Power Automate flow which will be called from Power Apps

2) The Power Automate flow will send http requests to external api (premium feature)

so in this case users who will be accessing the Power Apps and calling the Power Automate flow >> need premium license for Power Apps or Power Automate? or both? as there are 2 types of premium licenses (Power Apps Premium license & Power Automate Premium license).. so which one is needed in our case?

Thanks

It depends on who is calling the flow. In case of power apps, it would be the person who will be running the flow.

So, the user will need to have access to run the power automate flow.

    Cheers!

@narayan225  ok but since the flow will call external http api, so the flow need a premium license to run it? am i correct? and since this flow will be called from Power Apps, so does the user need premium license to Power Apps as well? or the user will only need a premium license for power automate?

User with PowerApps premium license will be able to use the flow, as you get access to Power Automate Premium connectors in addition in that license.

@Devvj So PowerApps premium license allow you to run premium flows only from power apps (calling the flow from power apps)? correct? but does not allow you to create a standalone premium flows such as premium automated flow when an item is added or premium scheduled flows??

If you use Power Apps premium license, you get both the ability to run premium flow (calling an external API) and to run a power app.

@narayan225 so using Power App premium license i can also create premium scheduled flows and premium automated flows that runs as standalone flows and not been called from power apps? does Power Apps Premium license covers this as well?

    Thanks

Yes, the Power Apps Premium license also covers those scenarios.

@narayan225 but based on my reading since i posted this question, that Power Apps Premium license does not allow me to create premium flows outside the context of the app..

Context is the important part of the scenario. If you are using connectors and data sources that are out of your apps, you need a separate license. But if the flows/connectors use the same data source as your app, you can use the power automate capabilities of Power Automate.

Check the following reply that I added to another post of yourself: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Is-there-a-single-license-that-allow-users-to-access-premium/m-p/2301553/highlight/true#M575598
