Let's say:

you have a SharePoint list where folders are allowed
there is a folder named "FOLDER1" in this list
the forms of the SharePoint list where customized using PowerApps

Here is the problem:

you click on FOLDER1 to go into the folder
you create a new list item
the PowerApps form opens up, you enter data and click SAVE
the new item is created at the root level of the list instead of creating it inside FOLDER1

Whats interesting is, if:

you re-enable the native SharePoint forms on the list
you go into FOLDER1
you create a new item
then the item is indeed created inside FOLDER1

My questions are:

Is this a bug (which would be very annoying) ?
Is there any option to setup in the PowerApps form to make sure an item is saved in the current list folder ?
Is there a workaround this problem ?

Hi @R3dKap,

Apologize to say that adding item within folder for SharePoin list through PowerApps Custom form is currently not supported.

As the folder context is not passed to PowerApps form, it is not available for the Custom Form to determine the folder structure, and currently there is no proper solution could be shared.

Hi @v-micsh-msft,

Thanks a lot. It's quite urgent on my side because I must deliver to my customer in the next couple of days and he is expecting that the items he will create in a folder are indeed created in that folder.
I know that, as a workaround, I could create a Flow to move the newly created item into the good folder but if I can avoid it I'd prefer.

So, waiting for your feedback...

The symptom confirmed from my side.

The item created by the PowerApps custom form is only avialable at the list root level.

I will confirm this through my side, and update you once I got any response back.
