SharePoint Triggers: Existing Item vs. When an Item is Created or Modified

Does anybody know why in SharePoint you can choose a Flow that triggers when "When an existing list item is modified, complete a custom action, but when you look at the triggers for SharePoint when you build a Flow from the Flow web app directory, the only option is "When an item is Created or Modified". I saw some back and forth on the internet that "When an existing list item is modified" is no longer supported. If so, why can you still choose if from "Create a Flow" in SharePoint?

    Hi @ kbirstein1,

The trigger "When an existing list item is modified" is no longer supported in microsoft connector Flow web app currently as you said.

Microsoft flow support the templete "When an existing list item is modified, complete a custom action" in SharePoint currently,if you would like to create a flow on a existing list item, you could create the flow in SharePoint.

If you would like the trigger "When an existing list item is modified" to be supported in in microsoft connector Flow web app,

please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

Please let me know if your problem could be solved.

    Regards,
    Alice Zhang
