Power Apps application - Sharing the application

Hello,

 

We developed our first Power Apps application using Dataverse.

 

Is it normal that when we share the application we have to set Basic User role on this ?

What is precisely organizations ?

Is it necessary to do the same thing with each application using Dataverse ?

    Yes. You're setting the role not in the app but in the Dataverse. Basically you're assigning that user permission to interact with the Dataverse but not to change it (at least, not through the app).

     

    Organizations is the table within Dataverse that the app will interact with. It will have been specified in the data sources of the app. If you don't use it in the app, simply remove it from the data sources - make sure you definitely don't use it though or you'll break your app.

    Does it mean that if we create custom tables in Dataverse with which the app interacts, we'll have to set basic User role on these custom tables when we share the application ? 

    Can we do it once for all tables with which the app interact or we have to do that for each table with which the app  interact ?

    The best way is to try it!

    I believe it's per table, since you might want the users to have different permissions on different tables. I haven't done it for a while.
