I have a Term Store column in my list and I wanna make it accept new terms directly. I set the term store too accept valuse and it works fine in the default SharePoint form but in the PowerApps it need the "Path" function.

I followed the instructions in this blog post/video:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/News-Announcements-Formerly/Saving-to-SharePoint-Managed-Metadata-columns-using-Patch/ba-p/78754

But it keeps throwing an error: (The type of this argument 'MyField' does not match the expected type 'Table' . Found type 'Record')

Is this function changed or depricated and what are the alternatives?

    Hi @Hisham ,

    Could you please share a bit more about your Patch function?

    Does the "MyField" represents the Managed Metadata type column in your SP List?

    Have you enabled the "Allow Multiple values" option for the Managed Metadata column in your SP list?

    Based on the issue that you mentioned, it seems to tell that the "MyField" field (Managed Metadata) is required to provide a Table value, but you provide a record value.

    According to the issue that you mentioned, I think you have enabled "Allow Multiple values" option for the Managed Metadata column in your SP List, is it true?

    I have made a test on my side, please consider modify your formula as below:

    Patch(
     'YourSPList',
     Defaults('YourSPList'),
     {
     Title: TitleText.Text,
     YourMetadataColumn: Table({ /* <-- Modify your formula here */
     '@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedTaxonomy",
     TermGuid: DataCardValue.Selected.TermGuid,
     WssId: DataCardValue.Selected.WssId,
     Label: DataCardValue.Selected.Label,
     Path: DataCardValue.Selected.Path,
     Value: DataCardValue.Selected.Value
     })
     }
    )

    Note: The DataCardValue represents the Metadata ComboBox within your Edit form.

    Best regards,
