Lookup table to get latest date row and add to another sheet

Hi all,

I am trying to create a scheduled flow by lookup an excel table to extract the latest rows based on date criteria and add row to another sheet. The intention to do this because the data source is dynamic dataflows which updated daily and expect to keep all data to another sheet/file.

Would appreciate to anyone who can help on this and share the example of the flow.

    Hi @anwarkrg

well the flow design is possible which can copy rows from one worksheet to ansother using date criteraia- could you explain the data criteria - like how it should filter ?

    Hi @Nived_Nambiar

Below is the example, Sheet 1 is dynamic data and some rows might be deleted later.

What I am doing currently is by copying manually row with latest date every day from Sheet 1 to Sheet 2.

So the criteria might be set based on date (daily) or from the missing number at column G (Sheet 2) compared to column A (Sheet 1).

    Hi @anwarkrg

    Need some information -

    1. I did not understand the misisng number criteria, how missing number in column G of sheet2 can help to detect in sheet 1?

    2. does both criteria needs to be applied at same time in flow?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi @Nived_Nambiar

Actually this is just a simple operation i.e. to copy rows with latest date row n Sheet1 to Sheet2. But I mentioned earlier the data in Sheeet1 are dynamic and keep updating (some deleted if not valid anymore and newly created are added) and not in order date so I need to sort it and copy rows with current date from Sheet1 to Sheet2. So what I expect is to create a flow by filtering the current date criteria then copy rows from Sheet1 to Sheet2 and run the scheduled flow daily.

    Hi @anwarkrg

as said, the below flow can run every day and add current date data to the sheet2. Also one thing to note- there should be table associated with each sheets

let's see the flow design -

    1. Create recurrance flow/scheduledflow designed to run every day

    2. Use list rows to get details from sheet1 data

Here i have used filter query which filter date column by current date.

    3. Now loop through the list rows in table action's output using apply to each action.

Then add a row action to add row to sheet2

    Nived_Nambiar_2-1720059849890.png

    Expression used in date field-

    formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?['Date'],'yyyy-MM-dd')

All other dynamic content comes from the list rows in table action output.

Is this the flow design you have expected ?
