Managing Accumulative Data Returns

Hi

We are VERY new to Power Apps and I am not even sure if this is what we need?

Each month we need to get our providers to answer a set of questions that will build into an excel and show graphs etc.  Doing this as a one off (in forms) is easy BUT we actually need something that will cumulatively collate the data, month by month from each provider AND as a whole group.  We need to identify trends and possible weaknesses.

For instance:  Q Have you had any near misses this month?  A.  No (mth 1), Yes (mth2) and so on...  Extra questions if yes and so on.

These forms will be submitted each month by our providers and allow us to automate collation and management reporting.

Any ideas if this will be doable in PowerApps and where we should start>

Thanks

Jacquie

    Hi @Anonymous

Do you want to collect answers of designed questions form providers/suppliers every month? Are you leveraging the data to analyze and predict? Certainly PowerApps is a good choice.

First of all, Power Apps provides the CommonDataService which helps to store data and lets you use data more efficient. The CDS stores data like a database, and the data could also be used to make visualizations such as various charts as easy as working with Excel worksheets.

Secondly, with the CDS you could create a Power Apps Portal to automatically collect and store answers. A Power Apps Portal like a website could be used to display the designed questions, providers/suppliers could use it to fill in the answers which would be saved to the data source. You could refer to document below:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/overview

And then, if Power Apps Per User Plan License have been assigned to providers who are guests in the Azure Active Directory tenant (by your organization or providers’), you could create a Canvas app and share it to providers to easily and quickly fill in the answers and submit, or a Model-driven Apps app to not only collect but also show answers in forms of visualizations to help you to analyze and report like you are doing now through Excel.

At last, Power Apps could work with AI Builder to predict trends through Yes/No answers or find important messages through messy textual comments: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/prediction-overview & https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/text-classification-overview

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    I will investigate further

The licensing issue is a concern as this sounds as though it may be costly.

We have a number (20) of providers of medical services and we need them to report on quality standards, infections, serious incidents, complaints, near misses etc. every month.  We need them to be able to pick up on trends and we need to combine into a central report.  Additionally, we need them to have the ability to append full reports on questions with a ‘yes’ or positive numerical response.

These providers are all external to our organisation and it is essential that we can see, at a glance, if there are any potential safety/quality issues occurring.

Rather them me just trying to work my way through this are there any licenced, MS approved and fully skilled individuals who do this for a living?

    Best Wishes

    Jacquie
