Hi,
I've used the standard SharePoint PowerApps template that gives you the 3-screen app and amended it slightly to suit our needs. The App creates and maintains entries in the SharePoint list - our "database".
I want to create a dropdown for a field called "Project Manager" that uses a Person field from a separate SharePoint list ("Team List") but I'm not able to get it to work properly.
I get [object, Object] in the field display and changes are not saving the database.
On Select: ClearCollect(CollMgr,AddColumns('Team List',"Project Manager Name",'Project Manager'.DisplayName))
Items: SortByColumns(CollMgr.'Project Manager Name',"Project Manager Name")
Update: DataCardValue77.Selected
The reason I'm using a Person column is so that I can generate an approval PowerAutomate Flow and send status update emails to the Project Manager.
What am I doing wrong? I've hunted for similar solutions but none seems to fit this case.
Thanks,
Patrick
