Automating work flow

All,

I am attempting to automate a work flow process. I have two requirements that I am wondering if power automate can achieve.

1. Trigger my flow when a file is created in a folder. This folder is on our network drive not SharePoint.

2. In the flow if a user/approval does not approve the file send an email reminder. (Daily/Weekly)

Thank you

Will this be possible?

I have the same question (0)

You will need an on-premises gateway, which requires a Premium license.  But yes both of those can easily be accomplished using a flow.

    Hi @aishak12 ,

In addition, you could use this trigger for requirement 1.

For requirement 2, you could create a secheduled flow (Daily/Weekly) to retrieve records which haven't been approved and send emails .

    Best Regards,

Thank you. This was very helpful, could you show me an example of how the requirement 2 will look in the flow.

Here's a screenshot of the overall reminder approach and a detailed view of each parallel branch scope.

Thank you I have set everything up including the Gateway. Could you show me what is inside the those variable's?

What should be my value for the variable's in both scopes.

     Appreciate your help.

    Thanks

The first one is just a boolean and when you are ready to exit it is set to True.  The second is just a counter that counts how many time periods have passed.  Again, when you are ready to exit set it to a number bigger than the number of time periods you are waiting.  For example if you are waiting 8 hours total with a delay of 15 minutes, then the 8 hours is up when 32 of those delays have passed.  If you want to exit early you set the loop count to something higher than 32.
