So I'm t rying to import an excel file that has a table but whenever I click "Ok" i get an error message:
What could be causing this issue?

When these types of errors occur, I sometimes copy the data into a new Excel spreadsheet and try to import that instead.
It might be worth a try.

This definitely worked. However because I'm trying to display data that will change within the excel file automatically, this means that I would have to manually copy/paste the chaning data table to the new excel file, correct?
Yes, that's correct.
If that fix worked, it sounds to me that the error message is correct and that the original Excel file is indeed corrupt.
To try and avoid any data loss, my inclination would be to replace the original spreadsheet with a new copy that contains data that you've copied and pasted across.
