I am trying to create a menu for each working day of the week (Monday to Friday).
On Monday, the meal should be of type 'Meat', Tuesday of type 'Pasta', etc..
Each Saturday, the menu should refresh with new meals.
I'm trying to accomplish this in Excel.
I have 1 excel file, consisting of 2 worksheets.
- Sheet1 contains
- Table1: this table contains the meals
Row Meals Type 1 Chicken with rice Chicken 2 Roasted Salmon with Dill Mashed Potatoes Fish 3 ... ... - Table2: this table contains the fixed structure
Row Day Type 1 Monday Meat 2 Tuesday Pasta 3 Wednesday Vegetarian 4 Thursday Chicken 5 Friday Fish
- Sheet2 (called 'Menu') only contains Table4: this table should show the menu of the week, each saturday new meals
| Day | Meals | Type |
| Monday | <Randomly choosen> | Meat |
| Tuesday | <Randomly choosen> | Pasta |
| Wednesday | <Randomly choosen> | Vegetarian |
| Thursday | <Randomly choosen> | Chicken |
| Friday | <Randomly choosen> | Fish |
I can't seem to get the 'Meals' in table4 to get randomly populated with the 'Meals' in table1, based on the corresponding structure in table2.
Looking for some help on the internet i came accross a lot of solutions related to sharepoint lists and get_item and rand() functions, but in Excel on OneDrive in this case i'm completely stuck (and i'm not very technical i'm afraid).
Any idea's would be really helpfull.
