Hi,

I have a powerapp that allows visitors to create their own visitor entry and choose a host, the host is then emailed that their visitor has arrived, the combo box is populated by people which come from active directory, and the powerapp is run from an iPad in the reception.

Recently I've been having visitors that are just choosing the first person that appears in the combo box field when they select it. I want to make the field blank so that they are forced to search for the host they require.

this is how it looks currently when a visitor goes to select a host from the field, these visitors have just been choosing any of these people when entering themselves into the system

I've similar before, this is the Power Fx I use. I am adding a default option at the top called "Please select":

Ungroup(
 Table(
 {DisplayName: Table({DisplayName: "Please select"})},
 {DisplayName: Office365Users.SearchUser()}
 ),
 "DisplayName"
)

You can then see this at the top when the user uses the Combo Box:

So to add a blank entry, you'd change the code slightly to:

Ungroup(
 Table(
 {DisplayName: Table({DisplayName: Blank()})},
 {DisplayName: Office365Users.SearchUser()}
 ),
 "DisplayName"
)

You can then set the Default property of your Combo Box to the entry you're adding in.
