User permission on SharePoint and PowerApp

Good morning,

I have an app linked to lists on a SharePoint site. If I give people only view permission on the list, or hide the list to them if they are not in a specific permission group, how will that affect them with the possibility to modifying the lists trough the app.

What I mean by this, are their permission on the SharePoint site brought over on the PowerApp?

I got a red blob on the top of the powerapp screen if the permisisons are wrong - give it a quick test and i am sure you will get the same

Thank you for the quick response, however I first another error that I am trying to resolve with the person whom I am testing it with. He get the: 'Hmmm ... We couldn't sign you in.' error. As soon as this problem has been resolved, I will try it and let you know if it worked.

When making a PowerApp on a SharePoint list you use the SharePoint connector. When other users use the app the connector asks for their SharePoint credentials and uses that to communicate with SharePoint. That means that the permissions the user has on the list are the permissions the PowerApp has when trying to work with the list.
So if you have only reading persmissions on a list you can only read the list items in the PowerApp. If you have no permissions on the list, you cannot interact with the list through PowerApps.
