Filter gallery via dropdown

Hi!

I have a Gallery (Parent gallery) with item property: '3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet'.Objekt

Inside that gallery I have another gallery (Child Gallery) with item property: Filter('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet';Objekt.Value=ThisItem.Value)

So the Child Gallery shows me all items belonging to a specific object.

Beside that I have dropdown with different clusters which also are a part of my data source '3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet'.

I want to filter my parent gallery with this dropdown but I just can not find the solution:

Filter(Choices('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet'.Objekt);Value='Dropdown Auswahl Cluster'.Selected.Value)

What is my mistakeß

Thank you!!

    Hi @Jasmin_Sch ,

    Could you tell me:

    1. What's data type of 'Objekt' column? Is it a 'Choice' column or a 'Lookup' Column?
    2. Are there duplicate values in the 'Objekt' column in all records ?

    I assume:

    1. 'Objekt' column is a choice column. It does not allow multiple selection.

    2. There are no duplicate values in the 'Objekt' column.

If my assumptions are correct, I did a test for you and did not encounter any problems.

1\ This is my test list .

2\ Add a dropdown control and set its Items property to:

    Choices('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet'.Objekt)

3\ Add a gallery control and set its Items property to:

    Filter(Choices('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet'.Objekt);Value='Dropdown Auswahl Cluster'.Selected.Value)

4\ The result is as follows:

    v-xiaochen-msft_3-1618471665243.png

5\ Insert a  gallery control into this gallery control and set its Items property to:

    Filter('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet';Objekt.Value=ThisItem.Value)

6\ The result is as follows:

    v-xiaochen-msft_4-1618471811751.png

    v-xiaochen-msft_5-1618471824596.png

Are my steps different from yours? Did I miss something?

    Best Regards,
    Wearsky

@v-xiaochen-msft Thank you for your help!

Yes it is a choice column without multiselect. And in the column Object there are duplicates.

Here is a screenshot to describe my situation:

    Here is a screenshot.

So what I created with your instruction is perfect, thank you! I just want to filter it with my cluster values.

    Is that possible ?

    Thank you very much?

    Hi @Jasmin_Sch ,

So, what's data type of 'cluster' column? Is it a 'Single line of text' column?

If so, you could add a dropdown control 'Dropdown Auswahl Cluster' and set its Items property to:

    Distinct('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet',Cluster)

Then you could set the Items property of your parent gallery control to:

    Filter('3400 ILLU Arbeitspakete Mastersheet',Cluster='Dropdown Auswahl Cluster'.Selected.Result)

    Best Regards,
    Wearsky
