Hello.

I am trying to Filter my gallery using a look up Column.  I'm new to power apps and im lost right now with these errors

Delegation Warning the filter part might not work correctly in large data sets. ('Projects'.'Project ID')

Incompatible type of comparison table, text(on equals operator)

This is the formula im trying to use:

Filter('Team Members', 'Projects'.'Project ID' = varCurrentSelectedProjectID1)

Note: My Look Up Column Projects contains 8k rows in Dataverse.

Thank you so much for help.

    Hi @sidebot_0222,

You are comparing a GUID to a string and that will cause issues as you stated. Please try:

    Filter('Team Members', 'Projects'.'Project ID' = GUID(varCurrentSelectedProjectID1))

    Hope this helps,

    Alex

You could add a dropdown control with your lookup table as its items and use

Dropdown1.Selected.'Team Members' as the items for your gallery.

You could add a dropdown control with your lookup table, Projects, as its items and use

Dropdown1.Selected.'Team Members' as the items for your gallery.  No need to use a Filter or the GUID properties if you have established the relationship between the tables.

Hi @AlexBakerWong. Thanks for the response but the issue still persists. The error is now
Incompatible type of comparison table, Guid

Hi @Drrickryp. Thanks for the response, I tried that and it work but I will explain further what i trying to accomplish.

I have a first gallery which contains all the details of the 'Projects'

The on select property of the first gallery is:

    Set(varCurrentSelectedProjectID1, galProjectList.Selected.'Project ID');

The table 'Team members' contains a look up column 'Project ID' that is connected to 'Projects' table, and I want to display the team members in a second gallery base on what is selected on the first gallery.
    Hope this helps. Thanks.

You are making it more complicated than it needs to be.  Make the Items property of your team members gallery,

    galProjectList.Selected.'Team members'

See https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/one-to-many-relationships-for-canvas-apps/  for a more complete explanation.
