Up Down Arrow Keys for a left nav gallery

Hello All,

I have built a left nav for my canvas app using a gallery that has a label and a button in it, to simulate the menu options. Users want to use the keyboard to navigate between the menu items by pressing down and up arrow keys.

I just can't seem to get that working. It would be great if you could please let me know how to achieve that.

Thanks

The only way to navigate to a different entry in a gallery that I know of is to use the SetFocus() function.  But that will only work with data entry controls like Text boxes.  You could try putting a textbox behind each label and see if you can move up and down the gallery using SetFocus().  There is no other way to move through the gallery that I know of.

Thanks for your response @Pstork1 . I shall try it out. We have visually impaired users and this really is terrible that we can't capture key strokes.

That unfortunately didn't work. Is there any other way  I can achieve the left nav bar? We can even get rid of the gallery even and place  actual buttons instead. But even then it looks like there is no way we can have the up and down keys working to navigate through the buttons.

Other than the setfocus() function I don't know any way to scroll a gallery or the screen using the keyboard.  Power Apps is primarily built with touch screens, like mobile phones, in mind so it doesn't really have a facility for keyboard navigation.

Yes, I thought about that but  as of now, I am really not sure how a visually impaired user goes about his work day to be honest.  I shall run it by my clients. Thanks though, @Pstork1 !
