Hi there,

assuming this is a very simple question but seem to be having issues.

I have two galleries and would like both to navigate to an edit form.

What would I put in the 'Item' section for the edit from.

e.g. Gallery9.Selected Or Gallery10.Selected ??

Thanks

    Hi @Channah

    Neither, use a variable instead.  So for the Navigate() function in Gallery1 use Navigate(EditScreen,None,{var:Gallery1.Selected.ID}) and in Gallery2 use Navigate(EditScreen, None, {var:Gallery2.Selected.ID}).  In the Item property of the Edit Form use Lookup(datasource,ID=var).  If you are going to use that record in other screens in the app, instead of using a context variable like the one described above, you can create a global variable using the Set() function instead.  ie Navigate(EditScreen,None);Set(var,Gallery1.Selected.ID)  and Navigate(EditScreen,None);Set(var,Gallery2.Selected.ID) for Gallery1 and Gallery2, respectively

    Hi @Channah

    On both galleries' OnSelect, I would do

    Set(varSelectedRecord, ThisItem);
    Navigate(ScreenName)

    Then in the Form's Item property, use the varSelectedRecord gallery. The varSelectedRecord variable will have all the columns available to be used in the form, such as varSelectedRecord.ID, varSelectedRecord.Title, etc. And if needed, you can then set the varSelectedRecord to Blank() when leaving the screen.
