No matter what I do I cannot get the "Budget Officer" column to patch. I tried it with the simplest possible formula. Any ideas?
Well, I deleted and recreated the column and now it's working 🙄
Generally what happens is someone renames the column and then forgets they did so. The SP list at that point keeps the column's original name yet changes the column's display name to the new name you gave it. This means that in your apps code it will recognize the new name but will not patch correctly as the backend on the SP side is still looking for the old name. To check this go to list settings then click on the column in question. Once that columns details/settings page loads you can look up in the URL bar and see the actual name of the column. At that point just ensure that it is the same as the power app code. In general if you need to change the name of a SP column you will need to delete it and make a new one when working with Power Apps.
