I just created a "Happy birthday email to employees" flow and did a test with my own email about 30 minutes ago. It said "Flow ran successfully". I have yet to receive an email though, but I have the birthdate as today. When I select Test Flow > Perform Trigger Action, will that still send an email to the person who's birthdate is shown as being today? Or is the test just to confirm that the flow will function properly?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Your flow run failed at the "Send an email" action, and the expression in the condition is works, could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your "Send an email" action in the flow?

Hi @Anonymous ,
Could you please share more details about the expression in your condition?
I afraid that there is issue on the expression in your Condition, please take a try to create the condition with expression below:
The expression in the flow as below:
formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd')
The flow would run successfully as below:

Hi,
Thanks for the picture. Looks like there are two records found in your condition and it says failed. Could you expand the condition and check. It's difficult to say from the picture.
Thanks
And here is a picture of the flow completed.
Hi @abm,
I selected the first option to manually trigger the test. So my question is, would that send an email to the people whose birthday is listed as today? I assume doing the test just takes away the "Recurrence" and will send an email according to the following conditions. Thanks!
Hi @Anonymous ,
The first option is manually trigger the test by doing the action that triggers the flow.
The second option is use data from previous runs to perform the test.
If a condition is not true that doesn't mean that the flow is failed. It's depends on the logic of the flow actions.
You could look the flow history to see which are the steps ran successfully.
Also if you could show a screen shot of your flow that will be really helpful.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks
