I have a SharePoint list that is Employees names, within one of my apps i have a look up to this name field within this list, then other input fields are populated based on the name selected, Such as employee number.

The list is over 500, at the moment i have increased the delegation to 1,000 but i would prefer to do a filter on the search box for employee Name at the moment its just a combo drop down box that displays both first and last name and the users searches on the last name.

This list is called

'Employee List_1'

Is there a way i can start the search for the name as the person types the name such as a

Filter( 'Employee List_1', StartsWith(Last_Name, ComboBox1_1.searchtext) )

The issue with the above, is it still list all the names when i select the dropdown, i like it to be blank till they start searching and for some reason despite the list only have one entry for each person the list when using the above will display the same name multiple times, this will be confusing for users.
