Is it possible to develop like ASP.NET web application in Power Apps

I have developed many Win and Web based applications using ASP.NET (VB and C#) and classic ASP.

Now it is time to move power Apps. I am new for power apps but i am keen to develop in power apps.

Is it possible to develop web application like ASP.NET in Power Apps.?

If it is possible, can anyone share the template of Power apps in web and also provide developer materials.

With canvas apps, I suspect the answer to your question is no. If you could clarify more precisely your requirements, we can provide a more accurate answer.

Specifically, the features in ASP.NET that are not available in canvas apps include:

Open anonymous access

the ability to control the exact HTML output

the ability to add custom JavaScript, and to use JavaScript libraries

the ability to add custom code functions, to call code from DLLs

For your given use case and and previous .NET experience, I would suggest that Power Apps Portals would be a more suitable candidate.

my regular use is to use web controls like (textbox, checkbox, dropdown, button, list box,etc) and saving values into SQL/Oracle and same getting from the database.
Validating JavaScript and AngularJS.
Regularly using Webservice and RESTApi to fetch documents from SAP and other online documentum tools.
strictly followed role based authentication and menu controls.
if the above satisfy in Power Apps then we can proceed to develop else, we can maintain in ASP.NET

If I were you, I would continue to build your app in ASP.NET. Compared to a Portal app, I would say it's easier to connect to SQL/Oracle using server side ADO.NET in ASP.NET.

Canvas apps lack the JavaScript and AngularJS support that you want. Calling Webservices and REST APIs is equally challenging.

It's also worth noting the licensing costs. If you want to connect to REST APIs, this would require a premium Power Apps plan which would be $10 or $40 /user/month. Portal licensing starts at $200/month for 100 login sessions. ASP.NET hosting costs are almost certainly cheaper.

if we have more lagging features compare than ASP.NET, In which place/platform we could fit the Canvas app and why..?

Then, what is the difference between canvas app and model driven in short brief..?

Power Apps is a low code/no code platform, so it would work well if you have multiple developers that need to work on the app, but don't have coding experience. It works very well for building line of business/forms over data type applications.

The difference between the canvas app and model driven app is that model driven app is based on a Dataverse database. The functionality of a model driven app derives from the Datamodel and therefore, there is less scope for precise UI customisation.

A canvas app will be closer to ASP.NET, in that it provides a graphical design surface where you can add controls and components from a 'toolbox' section of the designer.
