Power Automate flow to send email using "Get Query Results" from Azure DevOps, Dynamic Content is not pulling data consistently?

I struggled for days troubleshooting an issue that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.

I have created a Flow which will connect to Azure DevOps using the "Get Query Results." The objective is to apply to each row of the results and send an email to the person Assigned reminding of an upcoming Due Date.

I selected Dynamic content (Assigned To) field in the TO: and a number of other dynamic content fields in the body (ID, Title, etc). During testing, it would intermittently work and the email was received properly, but in other cases the email would be generated with no information prefilling.

After hovering over the Dynamic content fields, I noticed it would change automatically and intermittently between the following:
item()?['System']?['Title'] <-- This version failed to populate a field every time
item()?['System.Title']      <-- This version worked every time
This is an example of pulling Title, but the syntax variation occurred across all fields I attempted to use

The frustrating thing is that I then manually created expressions to match the 2nd version above, and the flow would randomly replace it with the first non-working version.
The only workaround I could come up with was to create a CONCAT expression to add a space along with the field I needed and this worked:  concat(' ', item()?['System.Title'])

This kept the flow from reverting back to the 1st format.

Any insights on this phenomenon or how to avoid in the future?
