Filter Users from Another List Based on Choice Value Selected in Combo box

Hi All,

I have an App connected to two lists, Master (Primary List) and Approvers (List of Approvers). In the Master List i have a choice field for Goals and a People Picker field. The other list having two columns which are Goals and Owners. I want to apply logic in my Canvas App that if a specific goal is selected (from the Master) then the owner should be visible in dropdown which are associated with the specific goal which is in the Approvers list.

Below the details.

Master List:

Goal: Choice Type

Owner: People Picker

Approver:

Goal: Choice Type

Owner: People Picker

My Approach may be incorrect, so I am incredibly open to change the way too. Just need help to achieve this.

Quick help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Akshay

    Hi @AkshayManke ,

    If you're using a Form, consider applying the below to the Default property of the Owner DataCard (not the DataCard Value)

    If(
     'Your Form'.Mode = FormMode.New,
     LookUp(
     Approvers,
     Goal.Value = DataCardValue1.Selected.Value, //DataCardValue1 is your Goal dropdown
     Owner
     ),
     ThisItem.Owner
    )

    If you're not using a Form, ensure you have the following in the Items property of your Dropdown control:

    Choices([@Approvers].Owner)

    Then apply the below to the Default property of your Dropdown, or DefaultSelectedItems property if you're using a Combo Box control:

    LookUp(
     Approvers,
     Goal.Value = 'Your Goal Dropdown'.Selected.Value,
     Owner
    )
