How to change the "currentitem" record value?

Posted on by 2
How do I change the currentitem record to a different record? e.g when I type in currentitem into the formula at the moment - its defaulting to our incident table (where I can only grab the fields/values from that table) but what if I wanted to change what record the currentitem is grabbing from to the Safety Walk table that we have?

Trying to figure it out so I can add a filter for the list of items displayed in the gallery.

e.g

Filter(SafetyWalkWorksites,SafetyWalk.SafetyWalkID = currentItem.SafetyWalkID)

But because "SafetyWalkID" is from the SafetyWalk table, I can't grab that field as the currentitem is defaulting to the Incidents table?

Thanks in Advance

Still not sure that I understand.
What controls are referencing the "Safety Walk" table?

What is currentItem? You have not explained what this is.

The control is as mentioned above is a gallery, and the selected data source for the gallery is "safety walk worksite" so is not pointing to the incidents table. There isn't an error, as this is not to do with an error but more of it pointing to the incidents table when trying to use the "currentitem" function when I would like it to point it to the "Safetywalk" table instead, but not sure how I can change that.

If you are only seeing the incident table then that is the data source of the control that you are using. Please provide more details such as the controls, data source, etc. and may be a screenshot showing the error.
