Camera isn't set up properly message appearing despite permission to user camera previously granted

I made some minor changes to an app and now all my users are receiving the following message when using the camera.

To add to the problem my users aren't even receiving the prompt to grant permission to use the camera. The devices are using Android. My iPhone displays the message.

This is a problem as the app is used daily by a lot of users to log jobs.

I know there is a way of suppressing messages to for permissions to use connectors. Is there anything similar that can force the device to use the camera?

    Hi @Digital :

    Firstly,please consider setting the camera property of the camera space to dynamic, and let the user choose the numeric ID of the camera to use by them self. Because the numeric ID of the camera to use may be different for different devices.

    Maybe set the camera property to 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 could help you solve this problem.

    Secondly,when you open the app, it asks for permission to use camera? Did you happen to say no to that by any chance?

    1. On your Android device, open the Settings app .
    2. Tap Apps & notifications.
    3. Tap Advanced. App permissions.
    4. Select a permission, like Camera.
    5. Choose Power Apps should have access to that permission.

    Finally,If none of these work, I suggest you create a support ticket.

    Best Regards,

    Bof

    @v-bofeng-msft ,

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    I tried setting the camera value using numbers 0-10 but none of them worked for the rear facing camera. Strangely the front facing camera works.

    This app previously worked fine using value 0 for the rear facing camera. I published unrelated changes which seems to have changed all my users camera permissions.

    The phones my users are using (Samsung Galaxy 4 and 4s) do not prompt for permission to use the camera. In the app settings the Camera icon is displaying indicating permission has been granted.

    This is unfortunate because the camera function of my app is used daily by lots of employees who are logging jobs.

    I may have to use the Add Picture control in the meantime until I can find a solution.

    A:Please consider setting the camera property of the camera control to dynamic, and let the user choose the numeric ID of the camera to use by them self. For example:

    Make the camera property of this camera control default to 0, so that most users can use it normally. At the same time, a drop down is provided for users to choose different numeric IDs, so that your users of Samsung phones can choose other numeric IDs to make it work.

    Best Regards,

    @v-bofeng-msft ,

    Thanks for the suggestion but I tested dynamically adding values to the Camera property and it didn't work. My users still get the same message that I posted in my original post.

    I noticed the problem with the device camera not working began when I published and the Power Apps version changed from 3.21061.19 to 3.1072.25

    When I restored my app to the previous version the camera works again. This means I can't publish any changes to the app without breaking the camera function.

    Devices used are Samsung Galaxy 4 and 4S on Android.
