Approvals via Teams Activity and Email

Hi all ... I have an approval flow that attaches a doc and asks a designated user to review it, then approve or reject it. This is sent by email.

I note now these approval notification go through the approver teams activity as well but they can't see the attached doc.

Is there a way in power automate of either:

  1. linking/attaching so the approver can view the attached doc in teams activity or
  2. not sending the notification via teams activity ie only to the approvers email

Thanks.

    Hi @Wasa

    Thank you for posting.

According to your description, you would like to only send approval email with attachment to user.

Actually, It’s possible as long as we use ‘send email with options’ action.

In this way, we won’t receive teams activity and will be able to read attachment with no issue.

Hope the content above may help you.

    Thanks

Hi Anna ... this appears a good option except is there a capability to capture comments utilising this option?

    Hi @Wasa

    Thank you for your update.

Yes, the only limitation of using 'send email with option' is no command area. However, depend on your requirement, there seems no any other better solution.

    Thanks
