Filtering 2 sharepoint lists in one Gallery

I am looking at filtering two sharepoint lists in one gallery. Both lists have the same columns. I am using a dropdown for the filter.

Both lists contain assets within a chosen room (which is the values in the dropdown), List one contains additional assets in the room, list two contains computer related assets in the room. Both lists need to be separate as they are managed by different teams.

Having had a look at previous threads, I am unsure if this is possible, as I am trying to filter the same information from each list, in that I am needing the name of each asset within the chosen to show in the gallery. Due to the nature of the filtering I can not see anyway of filtering one list from the other, as the filter is needing to use the same information for both and I can not see a way which add columns would work as I am needing the same type of information from each list.

I did have a look at creating a collection based on room selection, but having the same issue of getting the same type of information from both lists.

Hope that makes sense.

    Choose the list with the most columns and use AddColumns to add additional data from the other list based on a common column. The example below uses disambiguation to specify the common column in the first list.

    AddColumns(
     List1,"somevalue",LookUp(List2, Roomno=List1[@Roomno],somevalue),
     "someothervalue",LookUp(List2, Roomno=List1[@Roomno],someothervalue)
    )
