Launch(mailto: functionality has stopped working

We have a number of Apps that allow users to send emails using a button that fires Launch mailto functionality. This was working but has now stopped working. In our deployed PowerBI reports, clicking on the button has no effect at all . When I run the PowerBI report containing the app on PowerBI desktop I get the following error:

Does anyone have an idea of where I should look to correct this?
