Dear community,
I have three forms that I use to gather data from a large number of users and a fourth form that shows a summary of all the data sent. Each form is on a different screen. I'm trying to understand what the best way is of handling the patch. Do I need to patch both on the third and fourth screens? It feels redundant, and I would like to know the best way. Here is a simpler format:

I assume the same user is entering the data on the first three forms?You can patch after each screen is entered if you want to do a more "Save As you go", or you can do one patch at the end after the user reviews all the data and confirms it is correct.I believe this is a design question based on other questions like, will your users exit the App before they get to the last screen. Since if they do any data they entered will not be saved.Are the users going to be able to go back and edit the data they entered?Just a few questions about the flow of your app and the answers will really drive you to patching as each screen is finished or patching at the end when the users completes all the forms.Please provide additional context and I'll be glad to help in any way I can. Hopefully this at least points you in the right direction or gives you "food for thought" 🙂

Yes, this is a profile creation and editing app, so the same user is entering the data in all forms. Users should see what data they entered on the 4th screen in the SummaryForm. I'm also showing the SummaryForm to appear after users click on "edit your profile". I was worried patching multiple times could lead to some sort of error, but it seems like I was wrong. Based on your guidance, it looks like I should patch the data on the 3rd form, so that in the SummaryForm users can edit and patch again.

Patching on the multiple screens will not cause an error. However, if you are working with a SP List as your datatsource sometimes it can be slow depending on your set up. The advantages to saving on each screen is that the user won't lose data if they accidentally close the App and they don't hit save.Even if you allow Saves on each screen you can still allow them to modify and save anything on the last page two. I don't think either way is "wrong", just a design preference/decision. Hope this helps.
