Trying to add environment and says I have not enough data capacity- very new to this

I have these products:

2 Microsoft Business Standard Licences

Microsoft Power Apps Plan 2 Trial

Microsoft Power Automate Free

I am following the Power App beginners training and got to the bit about creating environments. I cannot create a new environment  because it says I have used all my storage (1GB) - see snip attached. That is because my default environment is using all this (not sure how - only have 2 very simple sample apps in there, the flooring one and a simple one I tried to create from an Excel list, altogether  based on less than 1 MB of data in OneDrive).

I also have a free trail of Azure - can I make use of this in anyway?

I might be willing to buy more storage but I can't find out how!!! - 2 hours looking so far.

I realise this question is probably really dim, and I am probably missing something basic.... but any pointers would be welcome. All the links say to buy more capacity and reference this "Subscription Capacity/tenant Additional Increment Common Data Service (Dataverse) "  - BUT HOW!!!! 🙂

Many Thanks

    Hi @LouVerrill ,

I will give you more explanations about your two questions:

    1. Yes, you need to buy the full product license if you want to create another environment. As descripted in this official document, this is because if you need to create a production or sandbox environments with a database(other than the default environment), you're still required to have a premium Power Apps.

So, you need buy a Power Apps Per user plan or Per app plan. I would suggest you buy a Per User plan since Per user plan has more capacity than Per app plan:

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/

If you have already bought a Per user plan and still have not enough capacity, you can buy capacity add-ons separately. More information about Capacity add-ons, you can refer to below article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/capacity-add-on

Further questions for Power Apps pricing, please Contact sales to learn more.

    2. What do you mean about “link my Azure trial to Office 365”? Do you want to use some Azure resource in your PowerApps? Like Azure SQL?

If yes, you don’t need to link your Azure license to your O365 license. If you have right license on both PowerApps and Azure, you can directly build an App based on Azure data.

For example, if you have an account with both Azure license and M365 license, you can create an app and add a new connection to connect to Azure SQL using this account(you can also connect to other Azure resources).

References about how to connect to Azure SQL from PowerApp:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/connections/connection-azure-sqldatabase

If I misunderstand your issue, I would suggest you create a new thread in Azure or Office 365 community, so that you will get the most qualified responds from Azure or O365 experts.

    Best Regards,

    Allen

Re: Trying to add environment and says I have not enough data capacity- very new to this

Ok I put in a service request and have been told:

    1.  I need to but the full product to get extra capacity. Search on power apps in Purchase Services and buy there.
    2. I cannot link my Azure trial to Office 365 - I would need to build the Power App within Azure.

    Does this sound right?
