Default: Display value in a dropdown based on value in another datacard

Hi,

I have a table with 3 columns.

I want Dropdown1 (Column 1) to display the value based on datacard1 value (Column3).

I need this to be in the default of  Dropdown1 so that it does not change once saved.

I'm only submitting/updating data from datacard1 to the table.

Dropdown1 Somethingdatacard1
A11000
B22000
C33000

So I would like to have "C" as default when datacard1 is "3000"

Anyone who can help?

    Hello @Gundi76

    For this you need to set the default value of your dropdown to a variable let's say _defaultValDataCard1, then on the onchange property of the dropdown of your datacard1 you update the value of _defaultValDataCard1 and you call reset(Dropdown1).

    @alaabitar Thanks!

    How would you write the formulae for the onchange property for Datacard1? I've currently set the varialble "DefaultVarAreaID" here. Also, how to call reset dropdown dropdown 1. Do you writhe both on the Onchange as:

    DefaultVarAreaID; reset(dropdown1) ?

    Regards,

    Trond

    Yes so onchange is equal to Set(DefaultVarAreaID,Self.Selected.Value);Reset(dropdown1)

    @alaabitar ,

    Unfortunately, all of these 3 inputs are changing back to the first item in the table once saved.

    "Organisation_AREA_ID" is the one writing back to the table. The other 2 datacards are only there to populate a value in "Organisation_AREA_ID". The issue is that I need to keep the other 2 datacards (Organisation Acronym & Area Description) once saved. Area Description is filtered based on 3 choices from Organisation Acronym.
