I have a form that gets responses as text - always, mostly, etc. I want to leverage Power Automate expression to check and change the value to a number - Always = 5, mostly = 4 etc. before creating item in a SharePoint list
Hi @janathan ,
Pass the field into a switch statement and set a variable to 1,2,3 etc.

I have 25 fields that this needs to happen. 25 questions in the form that get answers in text like always, mostly, etc and in power automate it needs to change to numbers where always = 5, mostly = 4 etc. I was hoping to use an expression in power automate to say if (field = "always", 5, if field = "mostly", 4 etc but not able to figure out the syntax. your idea is good but it will make the flow so long.
Thanks
Also, here is how my flow looks.
