combobox issue while saving

Hi Experts,

I am facing issue with commob box in powerapps.

I have Person combo box and default selected should be Current User.

but when I am saving the column in sharepoint is saving as blank, when I will go and select manually any user then it is saving in the SP list. The same problem for bot new form and edit form.

Please advise.

Do you mean that you could not save the default selected user to the SP list?

Could you please tell me that:

how you set the Items and DefaultSelectedItems property of the Combo Box?

how you set the Update property of the data card corresponding to the Combo Box?

I assume that you want to assign the Combo Box with the current user in a new form.

In my scenario, I have a Person column named Employee to store the user.

Combo Box Items:

Choices([@tSheets2].Employee)

Combo Box DefaultSelectedItems property:

If( EditForm1.Mode=FormMode.New, { DisplayName: User().Email, Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(User().Email), Department: "", Email: User().Email, JobTitle: "", Picture: "" }, Parent.Default )

Data card corresponding to the Combo Box Update property:

DataCardValue6.Selected

Hi,

1.Items property of my combo box :
Choices([@SPlist].UpdatedBy)
2.Update property of data card
DataCardValue1.Selected

defaultselecteditems property of combobox is:
[User().FullName]

it is showin the value in combobox but, in SPList in not saving.
And I have the same scenarion in both the forms new form and edit form

Please advise.

Actually, if you want to save data to the Person column, you should format your formula as below:

{'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser", Claims:"i:0#.f|membership|QiQiao@wiXXXX.onmicrosoft.com", Department:"", DisplayName:"Qi Qiao", Email:"QiQiao@wiXXXX.onmicrosoft.com", JobTitle:"", Picture:"" }

Could you please modify the formula for the DefaultSelectedItems property of the Combo Box as below:

If( EditForm1.Mode=FormMode.New, { DisplayName: User().FullName, Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Lower(User().FullName), Department: "", Email: User().Email, JobTitle: "", Picture: "" }, Parent.Default )
