Navision 2009 R2 - can't inspect gui

I'm trying to automate the desktop interface of Navision 2009 R2, but PAD can't get the paths to the various interface controls.
PAD is running as administrator on the machine.
Any suggestions?

Hi @humas ,

When you can focus those element use alternative actions like Mouse mouse to Image or Send keys as shown in below image.

Use send keys and try Tabs.

That program might have security measures that blocks elements to be accessed. Or it could just be written in language that PAD doesn't understand all the inner elements. Might also be because its like 15years old program that the elements are not accessible.

Sometimes using the Recorder in PAD works better than trying to pick the elements yourself.
Although it might only pick that "Window" element you are able to find and put Mouse position relative to UI element to it. But maybe that works in your case. If you run the flow unattended you should make sure the resolution and window size is same as your dev environment.

You could also use Move mouse to text or image
Or use shortcuts and send keys (Tab, Enter, Arrow keys etc.) to navigate the interface.

I have to automate the entry of orders, and using only the keyboard is too risky, as well as not having secure control over the interface, I wouldn't be able to get immediate feedback on the data entered

Have you tried with power automate desktop recorder option?
Despite its occasional failure to properly highlight elements during recording, it still deduces the elements in the background and accurately fills in the corresponding text boxes. So, it might be worth giving it a try.
