I'm using a modern combo box control in my form control that is connected to a SharePoint list. The control is to select multiple people. The Items property is:

Office365Users.SearchUser({searchTerm: Self.SearchText}) // Add search results
 
select multiple is on, allow searching is on.  
 
The behaviour is incorrect though.  When I select the first person, it's fine.  When i select the subsequent person, it forgets the first person I selected.   
 
Does anyone have a workaround for what seems like a bug in the modern control?

Hi @allan_t,

Modern Controls are still buggy and really should not be used in prod apps - I suggest you use a Classic item - it will work as expected.

@WarrenBelz Modern controls are now GA and the combo box is still doing this.

I can only repeat what I noted before - if they work for what you need and you like the appearance better, then use them. If you want something that generally always works as expected, consider using Classic controls. Modern items are being incrementally improved and hopefully will be sorted before too long.
