I have a simple problem I believe - I have a HTMLText table in my Powerapp and the data is based on a Sharepoint list - I am simply wanting to group the data by a column called "Region"

From this:

Region

Unit

Officers

Activity

Northern

Water Compliance

Don Williams, Joe Bloggs

Drive, set nets and camp

Northern

Aquatic Ecology

McDonald Ray, Jim Beam

Count fish, Drive, set nets and camp

Southern

Aquatic Ecology

Jim Beam

testing

Central

Water Monitoring

Jason Maynard

Manual measurement  of Upper Burnett bores

Northern

Water Compliance

Joe Bloggs

Drive and camp

Northern

Aquatic Ecology

McDonald Ray, Jim Beam

Drive, set nets and camp

Southern

Aquatic Ecology

Jim Beam

To this:

Region

Unit

Officers

Activity

Northern

Water Compliance

Don Williams, Joe Bloggs

Drive, set nets and camp

Aquatic Ecology

McDonald Ray, Jim Beam

Count fish, Drive, set nets and camp

    Hi @bobgodin ,

You are going to need nested galleries  (both Vertical) - first one

    GroupBy(
     SPList,
     "Region",
     "Data"
    )

and you will display the Region in the left of this. Second nested gallery in the right of this

    ThisItem.Data

where you can display the rest of the fields.

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

hi @WarrenBelz thank you for that - yes I could do it in Galleries but I'm wanting to do it in a HTML table as I want it to be able to be emailed to the users - would I use colgroup in that instance?

    thank you

    Hi @bobgodin ,

It is easy enough to Concat the Table and get all the values, but you would have to try somehow to change the font colour to white if the row above matches the current one - you might have some thoughts in that direction.
