Power Apps: How to change the password of contact from Canvas App?

Hello,

 

I have a web application, from where I am creating contacts, the Contact details are stored in the Contact entity of CDS.

I need to change the password of the particular contact from the canvas app in power apps.
What are the ways to change the password of contact from the canvas app??

    Hi @praneshJ 

     

    Yes, you can update the password using the below expression:

     

    Patch(Contacts,LookUp(Contacts,Email = "myemailaddress@gmail.com"),{'New Password Input':"NewPassword"})

     

    This will trigger an action in the backend and will change the password. The new password might take a few minutes to reflect.

    Thanks for the solution.👍

     

    Now want to encrypt the password while updating and use the same password while next time login.

    I am not sure what are the functions to encrypt and decrypt the password in power apps.

     

    Help will be really appreciated!!!!
