Centralized Power App for different sites or business units.

Hi folks!

Currently learning Power Platform and I'd like some suggestions and/or guides to follow up with some questions I have.

Scenario: I have developed a Power App specific for a Business Unit/site that uses Excel as our main data source.

Now my challenge is:

1) I'd like to start using Dataverse instead of excel.

2) I'd like to escalate the app I built to different business units within the company. At first I replicated all work I'd done to a different sharepoint, but now it's becoming troublesome because everytime I change something in one application I have to change in the other.

If we centralize the Power Apps, not every one should be able to see data from other business units.. For that, I'll probably be using the hierarchy structure security available within Power Platform. Nonetheless, can I use the same dataverse for different business units/sites?

Business Unit A users will only be able to see Business A related screens.

Business Unit B users will only be able to see Business B relatec screens.

Is that something that is possible using Dataverse? Any pieces of advice or recommendations? Should I centralize my application or should I have a separate application for each business unit/site?

I have a couple of comments

You may find SharePoint will do the job and save you the Premium Licence expense

I would recommend one app

You can easily control user access with either Office365 Group membership or (what I use) a simple reference list noting what I want them to access.

Thank you Warrent for the tips.. Let me try to be more clear in my requisites and see if you have more comments on this:

We'll have a separate power app canvas for each site of my company.
Each power app screen will show the same information for each site.

My first idea was:
Create a home screen with a drop down list with all my areas within the company.
Drop-down list will only show the areas I should have access to:
Implementation idea: Create a user table in DataVerse fed by Office365/Azure AD and filter the options in the drop-down list based on each screens permission. Do you think that's a good idea?

I dind't quite understand on what you meant by "SharePoint will do the job".. We'll have different SharePoints for each area as well.. But my first thought was using the Same DataVerse for all areas, but with different tables for information regarding to each specific area and soome common tables, for instance User List.

I know my questions are not very specific.. I don't know even if they're really questions 😁... Just trying to get some feedback here.. And thank you for the help!
