Adding Search function to Form

Hello,

To set the scene:

I am trying to create an application that is visible in my Power BI dashboard. Using this app, I want to be able to update a data source. This functionality has been created, but now I would like to be able to search for specific org_item_id's. I have seen ways to do this inside of a vertical gallery, but I want it to work for this form.

I am new to Power Apps, so I am hoping there is an easy way to accomplish this that I am not seeing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-Joel

To do that a record must be selected. A good way is with a combobox. Its items should be the datasource of the form. Make sure multi select is off and the combobox is outside of the form.

Set the edit property of the form to

    LookUp datasource, ID=ComboBox1. Selected.ID)
