I am currently working on a PowerApps application integrated with a Model-Driven App. The app is designed to update records in a Finance Data table, specifically allowing users to select a Capital Finance Mapping based on a selected Vendor. However, I am facing challenges filtering the Capital Finance Mapping records based on the selected Vendor.

Details:

  • Finance Data Table: Contains information on various finance-related records.
  • Capital Finance Mapping Table: Contains mappings between vendors and capital finance providers.
  • Vendor Selection: Users select a Vendor from a dropdown.
  • Capital Finance Provider Selection: Should be filtered based on the selected Vendor.

Problem:

When I try to filter the Capital Finance Mapping based on the selected Vendor, the filter does not work as expected. I get errors indicating that certain fields are not recognized, or the gallery displays incorrect or no data.

Steps Taken:

Filter Formula Used:

PowerApps
Filter( [@'Finance Data'].new_CapitalFinanceMapping, Vendor.Name = DataCardValue2.Selected.Name )

Observations:

  • Errors such as "Name isn't valid. 'Vendor' isn't recognized" occur.

Request:

Can anyone guide me on the correct approach to filter Capital Finance Mapping based on the selected Vendor? Any suggestions or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi , @sasdharanr

Please try to use this code:
    Filter(TableName , LookUpColumnName.FieldName = "xxxx")

The "FieldName" is your column Name in your LookUp Table side.

This may be this code in your side:

    Filter( [@'Finance Data'] , new_CapitalFinanceMapping.Name = DataCardValue2.Selected.Name )
