How Do I Collect a Subscription Fee for a Power App Application

Hello all. I have a question.

I want to offer a Power App on a subscription basis. Is that feasible? If so, where do I get instructions on how to set things things up (i.e. what other applications are required to conduct the marketplace transaction, The Azure Active Directory logic, etc)?

Hi @LedonL ,

Assuming you are going to host the application on your domain, you will need a licence for each user accessing the app. You will also need a data source of some sort - SharePoint is probably the best as it is runs on (and is included with) a standard O365 licence

Ok awesome. Thank you for your response. I can get that set up as well as my Active Directory for external users. The part I am focused on is how do you set up a payment medium. Ideally, I would want a channel that I could connect to PowerApps subscriber logic. However, if that is not possible, I can do manual updates to active/inactive users thus maintaining that logic myself. Does Microsoft have a marketplace platform that connects external payments (i.e. like WordPress has market plugins) to Office365?

Hi @LedonL ,

Not that I am aware of - I am fairly certain there is no trigger linked to Microsoft billing. You might be able to set up something with Square or the like. If are going to share externally, I assume you are going to grant licences in your Domain, so this would have to be part of the cost and you can control the allocation of licences with the payment.
