ComboBox not displaying saved value when in edit screen.

I have a combo box that's choices are getting populated with a filter from a separate SharePoint list.

Model, (Combo Box)

Items:

SortByColumns(Filter('VNWC Mfg Models',Product = txtProduct.Text).Model,"Model",SortOrder.Ascending)

At first, I wasn't having any luck getting the values to save back to the list once user selected values and saved, so what @WarrenBelz  said to do in  Solved: Filtered Combo box value not saving to list - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

by setting

DefaultSelectedItems:

ForAll(
 ThisItem.Model,
 {DataCardValue6: Value}
)

and

Update

ForAll(
 DataCardValue6.SelectedItems,
 {Value: Model}
)

Now if the user selects multiple Models it does save but if the user goes back into the form to edit a value in a different field, Model is not show the previously saved values so they get cleared out whenever a user modify and saves a different field.  I tried changing DefaultSelectedItems back to

Parent.default

which did show the values currently saved in the list but when click save those values don't get saved back so I assume the ForAll in the  DefaultSelectedItems  is populating the values for the Update.

I'm not sure where to go from here.  I need to help on how to display the current values from the Model field and also save those values back to the list when other fields are edited.

    Hi @vbchewie ,

    Your DefaultSelectedItems should be

    ForAll(
     ThisItem.Model,
     {Model: Value}
    )

     or you can use

    RenameColumns(
     ThisItem.Model,
     "Value",
     "Model"
    )

     the Update looks correct

    ForAll(
     DataCardValue6.SelectedItems,
     {Value: Model}
    )

    or you can use

    RenameColumns(
     DataCardValue6.SelectedItems,
     "Model",
     "Value"
    )
