How to use Office365Users connector on filtered results from SharePoint list

Hi there,

I'm quite new to Power Apps and I was wondering, what would be the best solution to my problem. I have a Drop-down control which Items are configured with this formula:

Distinct(Filter(PermissionList,OwnerID=lblOwnerID.Text),UserID)

This works as expected and I receive a list of X unique values from UserID column to my Drop-down control.

Now I would like to display real user names inside the Drop-down instead of user IDs. My idea was to use Office365Users connector with UserID argument, because it works good when used on a single ID like this:

Office365Users.UserProfile(lblUserID_test.Text).DisplayName

But I don't know how to use it for the complete table of results? I was thinking about ForAll function, use the first formula as a table argument and then use the second formula as a formula argument in ForAll, but it doesn't work for me...

Can I ask for your help or maybe for your suggestion of a better solution to my problem?

Many thanks for your advice! 🙂

    Hi @JanKlaska28

    How and when does the Owner Label text get populated?

    Because whatever place that does that you can do

    Clear(UserIdNameList);

    ForAll(Distinct(Filter(PermissionList,OwnerID=lblOwnerID.Text),UserID),
     Collect(UserIdNameList, { Name: Office365Users.UserProfile(ThisRecord.Value).DisplayName })
    );

    But you cannot put this in the Items property, so you need to do it somewhere before. So in the place that gets the values to set the text box you are using to filter on.. it would work there.

    Then set the Items property of the Dropdown to the UserIdNameList Collection

    If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

    Cheers

    Hello @FLMike,

    thank you for your fast reply. The solution proposed by you works flawlessly. Many thanks!

    "Owner Label" was only a hard-coded value of user ID by me to test, if my formula syntax is correct. I will get this value from Office365Users connector in my app.
