How to use web resource for an associated view of a custom entity

Hello,

we have a custom entity, we would like to use Web Resource to customize its Associated View. How to implement that?

 

What we want to accomplish is to custom entities with opportunity. The custom entities map to data in an external data store. We want to retrieve these data from external store when users clicking a button in the associated view, so that users can add/remove the association with opportunity records. Any other design suggestions for implementing this?

    For your custom entity entity that connects to external data source are u using virtual entity?

    @Mira_Ghaly , no we are not using Virtual Entity. Is it  complicated and with a lot of limitations?

     

    The best approach for us is to write our own web resources if it is impossible.

    if using web resources for associated view is not possible, is PCF the right solution to development our own associated views for custom entities?
