Hi world! I'm building an App and I'm wondering if its possible to create and acronym for a name automatically, for example I have this company name "Bob's Burgers and Salads", the "Name" column would obviously have its name, but in the same table a different column would have its acronym automatically generated, in this case "BBaS". Anyone knows if this is possible? Thanks 🙂
Hi @FranSanchez02 yes you should be able to do this.
EDIT: Sorry I didn't mean to hit 'Post'! Working on solution!
Hi @FranSanchez02 ,
To get the Acronym, you would need
Concat( ForAll( Split( YourTextField, " " ), Left( Value, 1 ) ), Value )

Here you go 🙂
// Set up input parameters With({ InputString: TextInput3_3 }, With({ // Split string into words using a space character Words: Split( InputString, " ") }, // Concat joins things together Concat( // Use word list Words, // Take the first character on the left, Value is the word Left( Value, 1), // Use no separator to join "" ) ) )
Gives you this:
Thank you Chris! I will implement it when I can!
Thank you Warren! I will also try this!
