Choice column value check in condition avoid apply to each

Dear community,
 
I have a flag choice type column in sharepoint that i am trying to get value of . I dont want to use apply to each but use the first item itself. I am getting below error message. 
 
Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Compose' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'first' expects its parameter be an array or a string. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#first for usage details.'.

    @Vaibhav_k Since you know the ID of your item. You should use a Get Item — not the Get Items action. The Get Item action will return a single item. The Get Items action returns an array of items.
