Flow to merge datasets

Hi folks,

I have client contact data in an Excel file on SharePoint. This is updated manually by staff. I also have a MS Form that collects contact data from clients directly.

I'd like to do two things:

1. Connect these datasets so that the data from the Excel file is added to a SharePoint list as staff add new clients on (this would be a new row on the form)

2. Identify the email addresses of clients that have their details on Excel file, but have not completed the MS Form. The unique identifier of the two datasets that could link them is the email address.

Can anyone help me develop a Flow for this?

    Hi @Anonymous

Couple of questions before I can suggest something.

    1. Once the staff added new clients in Excel sheet do you need to remove it from Excel sheet once the record is added to SharePoint?

    2. Please explain what you need to do with once MS Form is submitted by the user? Are you looking to update the record in SharePoint by filter using email address?

    Thanks

    Re: Flow to merge datasets

Thanks for your help. I'll try to provide some more detail.

The Excel file sits in a SharePoint library and staff use this to collect basic contact data in rows - first name, last name, DOB, email etc.

This is used to make contact with the clients and they are then asked to provide further information using an MS Form which is stored in SharePoint. This form also collects their first name, last name and email etc but also adds additional questions of the client to collect further data that we need.

I would like to be able to generate a SharePoint list that combines the initial data on the staff Excel file with information in the additional columns that is captured by the MS Form, to have a complete dataset in one place.

I'd also like to be notified if a client has been entered on the staff Excel file that sits on SharePoint, but hasn't yet completed the further data in the MS Form. Is this possible? If not, a flow to compare the entries on the two datasets using the email address column to create a new Excel file that contains a list of those who haven't submitted the MS Form would be helpful.

    Thanks again.
