Hi everyone,

i have built few dashboards in power bi desktop with filters applied, my aim is to download these dashboards as report in pdf after applying some filters, in order to automate this whole process i am wondering if power bi automate able to make it possible ?

what is required is detailed below in steps:

1. open up power bi

2. choose dashboard created earlier

3. apply the filters available as per requirement

4. export the dashboard/report as pdf

Hi @Tarun_Tyagi ,

What type of PBI licensing do you have?

You can use the Power Automate PBI connector here which will use the Power BI Rest API to apply filters and export to various formats e.g. PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX etc.

However, I believe you will need premium/reserved capacity in your PBI tenant. More info here.

Hi @eric-cheng thank you for the reply

So according to the documentation and your answer, i don't require power bi automate right to achieve mentioned tasks. it can be done using power bi rest api's and off-course we require power bi premium for that.

You can call Rest APIs directly of course. Really depends on who is doing the development.
