UserProfile Phone Number not returning the correct value

I am trying to return a user's phone number.

The O365 Profile contains 2 phone number fields.  OfficePhone and MobilePhone

Both of the PowerApps O365 User Profile attributes that get returned point to the MobilePhone property!  WHY??

I see my desk phone in the OfficePhone field in my Office 365 Profile (Users), but when I try TelephoneNumber it shows the mobile phone number!

I also tried BusinessPhones but that is an array and I can't figure out how to use it with EmployeeProfile

I'm using the Employee Org sample app as a base.

Any help getting the correct phone number to show up would be greatly appreciated.

Ron

    Hi Capt_Ron

I generally load the current users Office 365 profile into a collection when the application starts and then manipulate it from there.  To see all the phone numbers you could use a gallery or listbox and set the items property to:

    First(graphApiCollection).businessPhones

or, if you only want the first phone number:

    First(First(graphApiCollection).businessPhones).Value

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you.

    I'll take a look.

I wonder if anyone at Microsoft on the O365 team ever looked at why the Employee Profile properties MobilePhone and Telephone both get their values from the SAME Azure AD peoperty.  That's just plain silly.  If they fixed that, then this issue is moot.

Also can you assign a Launch action to the BusinessPhones value?

Sure can. Create a button to reference your control and for the OnSelect use:

    Launch("tel://" & ListBox1.Selected.Value)

    Thank you.

You got me thinking and trying different things.

    I ended up with this:

    First(First(EmployeeProfile).BusinessPhones).Value

this gives me the first entry in the BusinessPhones array.

    Thanks again

Is it possible to upload the manipulated data in the collection back unto the user profiles? The team I am a part of have been trying to build a screen in our app that lists all the information from one's delve account and the calls do not seem to be connecting.

I'm not sure.  The information is coming from Azure AD.  I guess you could write a Web API that can write to AAD.  We have one that writes back to our local AD for group memberships.  Our data's true source is our ERP system which feeds AD through our Identity management system.

Like I said, you might be able to write a Web API that does the write-back
