In this case, you need a Compose action to output:
addDays('1899-12-30',int(items('apply_to_Each')?['join date]))
and
addToTime(utcNow(),-1,'Year','yyyy-MM-dd')
Review the outputs from your Compose actions to see if they are in fact equal to each other. If not, you'll need to adjust your expression so they are. The equals to operator is looking for an exact match.
